We offer the complete publishing package which will enable authors to get a fairer deal from any work we decide to publish. These services are flexible and we will customise your package to suit your needs and goals.

We believe that success stems from community, hard work and ambition. From our own journey, we know that Redstart would not be what it is today without the collective experience and expertise of our team. That is why we want to share our knowledge and skillsets with you.

If you’re writing a book and need some help developing it at any stage, or you already have a manuscript and want us to help you get it published on your own terms, one of our team members is certain to have the skills you need.

For a set fee agreed upon during an initial, free consultation, we can offer you services in the following areas:

Submissions

The good news is that we welcome unsolicited manuscripts and our submissions window is open. However, please look through these guidelines carefully to avoid any delays.

Note: We are all busy people. Because of this, we ask that you allow up to 3 months for us to get back to you. If you haven’t heard from us by then, please feel free to get in touch.

We are an equal rights publisher and we do not discriminate. Every manuscript we receive will be treated with the same care and attention as those that came before it.

When you submit

What do we want to see in an email from you?

Your manuscript, in a single .PDF or .DOC(X) file.

A brief cover letter written into the body of the email which includes some information about you, your writing and your publishing history.

An easy way to get in contact with you.

If you are an agent: Include as much as you can from the above, along with the details of your agency.

What do we not want to see?

A manuscript that has been accepted elsewhere—we are happy with simultaneous submissions but please let us know if your book is no longer available.

Any material that could be considered as plagiarism, unnecessarily hateful or discriminatory.

First drafts—please make sure that your work is at least partially complete.
